In 2022, Adico avoided the emission of 21.32 tCO2 into the atmosphere, which is equivalent to 213,000 less car kilometers traveled.
The figure, which is part of the “Less Footprint More Future” declaration awarded by Sociedade Ponto Verde, was calculated based on the annual quantity of packaging placed on the market by Adico and the overall performance of its waste management system, which includes, among other things, the greenhouse gas emissions avoided.
In addition to adopting measures aimed at reducing its carbon footprint, Adico has, since 2021, been implementing certification by the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system, a process that should be completed by the end of July and whose goal is to support organizations in improving their environmental performance.
For many years Adico has demonstrated a growing concern with environmental sustainability and its impact on the present and future of the planet. This concern is expressed through the use of sustainable materials and raw materials, better management and preservation of natural resources, as well as improving the efficiency of the entire production process and the physical conditions of its industrial unit.
