Adico achieved the certification of its Environmental Management System by ISO 14001 - an international standard that recognizes companies that demonstrate a continuous commitment to improving their environmental performance.
This certification requires the fulfilment of a set of requirements for a more effective management of the environmental impact of Adico's activity, considering the protection of natural resources, preventing pollution, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and socio-economic needs.
With the aim of reducing CO2 emissions, consuming fewer resources and increasing waste recovery, Adico has been implementing an action plan to achieve a more sustainable development of its business model, in line with the European 2030 goal.
"It is with great satisfaction that we have completed this challenging process and received this certification that proves Adico's commitment to protecting the environment and the future of the planet. We operate in a sector that traditionally is not connected with a sustainable and green image. With this achievement we are the proof that minimizing the impact of our activity on the environment is a mission that is reachable to everyone", explains Miguel Carvalho, member of Adico's Executive Committee.
